podcasts and libraries
I think that libraries can (with copyright issues considered), place performances such as pantomines, Gold Star events and author talks on the libraries blog page. Therefore customers who wish to revisit the event or who could not attend will be able to do so.
library thing
A fun site where you can see what other people are reading.

Matisse video
I liked this video on the colours that Matisse used to paint his artworks. The video is from Youtube

Wiki
I think that a wiki will allow users to keep up to date with current library trends, news and research. Within our Library service a wiki would be a great way of accessing policy and procedural information.
Personally I like the Wookiepedia (Star Wars fan).

Q and A
Q. What do you hope to learn from the program?
A. What a mash up is and other technologies that I am not aware of.
Q. What do you think about Lifelong Learning?
A. LLL is a great way of keeping your skills and knowledge up to date in vocational and recreational fields.
Q. What other blogs have you discovered?
A. I have heard about people using blogs in countries that have social segration due to political requirements. Blogs enable these people to communicate with each other.
Q. What do you like about them?
A. Blogs encourage dialogue and empower people who are otherwise voiceless.
Q. Can you see a use for blogs inside the Library?
A. Hopefully we can improve communication and get information that is accurate where and when we need it.
Q. How about blogging for a client audience?
A. Ditto - this would be great for teenagers etc.
